There's More

I finished my last post when I remembered General Hospital. Never watched that one either but I thought I would bring it up. A had also posted my last post when a new show came on that I thought I would mention.

Royal Pains

I watched the Pilot and it was actually good. Basically it is about a doctor, Hank, and he gets fired from his job when an influential donator of the hospital dies in Hank's care. He becomes super depressed and his fiance breaks off the engagement. His little brother comes and forces him to go to the Hamptons with him. While at some super cool party a hot sexy female gets really sick and Hank saves her. Word evidently gets around in the Hamptons and he keeps getting phone calls from rich people to come and take care of them. At the end of the episode he decides to become a concierge for the people of the Hamptons.

So even though this is just another TV series about a doctor....I think this one is different. I think I liked the pilot and just might watch this series.

How Many?

Have you ever noticed how many TV series are about doctors and hospitals? There are tons! I guess people can't be creative anymore and so they just come up with another doctor/hospital series! I don't know exactly how many there are but here are some that I could think of.
Grey's Anatomy
I actually like this show. My old room mate got me into it. I would watch it everyday when I got home from work. I got Carlos into too but we haven't watched it in forever since he got comcast. He would rather watch stuff on TV now.
Private Practice

It is my understanding that that this show was created because everyone liked Dr. Addison Montgomery from Grey's Anatomy so much so they gave her her own show. I think I would like to watch it cause I actually liked Addison in Grey's.

Scrubs

I have only seen a few episodes and I thought it was funny but I still think I like Grey's more.

ER

Never watched this one but I have heard of it.

House

Not really into this show but I watch it sometimes when I can't find anything else that I want to watch. Dr. House kinda gets on my nerves. Maybe I would understand it a little better if I watched it from the beginning but I don't really care to.
Nurse Jackie
The only difference about this show and all the others I have mentioned is that Nurse Jackie is about a nurse and not doctors and surgeons. I have enjoyed the episodes that I have watched though.
Hawthorne
The preview for this show is what gave me the inspiration for this post. Just another TV series involving doctors in a hospital. Probably a lot of sex and drinking just like all the others. I don't know if I will ever watch it, however, I like Michael Vartan so I might.

Am I missing any other doctor shows?
What are they?

Guitar Hero vs. Rock Band

I have had the privilege to play both Guitar Hero
and Rock Band!

I would have to say that with my experience, Rock Band if far superior to Guitar Hero!! The guitars are more realistic with Rock Band and the song choice is way better too. Not to mention the sound quality. Carlos bought a PS3 for when his son visits and one of the games he has is Guitar Hero. Cameron has enjoyed playing it but I keep trying to get him to come with me to my little brothers to play Rock Band. He doesn't seem to want to go. I think he is scared to meet my brother or something. Maybe I will get him to go before he leaves. I know he will have fun playing. So if any of you are interested in buying one of these games...go with Rock Band. You will have loads more fun!

Up

Yesterday I took Cameron to see Up in 3D!
We both loved it. He had already seen it with his mom in Oregon but he was really excited to see it with me in 3D. I spoiled the boy and let him get the biggest popcorn possible and a drink.
This may be one of the best Pixars ever. I loved the storyline and I loved the characters. The Pixar dudes are very creative and I think they make wonderful movies.

Cameron likes Kevin, which is the bird for those of you who haven't seen the movie yet. I liked Doug, the Dog, and Russ, the boy (I think that was his name).

I really recommend that everyone see Up. It is a great movie for kids and it has some mature grown up moments that the older generation will appreciate and enjoy.

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

This show rocks!!! I didn't watch this show when it was running cause my parents didn't think it was appropriate but I watched it tons after I got married. I loved it. These guys are hilarious and very talented. I can't even choose a favorite cause I love them all. I just don't know how they can come up with the stuff that they say and do right on the spot like that. It amazes me.
Why am I saying this?
I was flipping through the channels and this was on. I watched it and enjoyed it thoroughly. It brought back memories of when I watched this show all the time.
Just wanted to share my love of Whose Line Is It Anyway with everyone.

I Win

So I mentioned previously that I was going to play Mario Kart with my boyfriends son and I wanted to tell everyone about it.

First I want to say a little about his son. Carlos was married several years ago and now he has an 8 year old son, Cameron.

Cameron lives in Oregon with his mom and step dad but he visits Carlos during his summer vacation.

I was really nervous to meet him cause I knew that Carlos would be testing me on how well I got along with his son. Talk about scary. Well we finally met and things were quiet for a bit but we started playing the game and we soon became friends. We spent most of Sunday playing together. He really likes me. Carlos has told me several times when we are alone just how much Cameron likes me. He says stuff like, "I like her daddy, she is really nice," "Is Kristin going to spend the night with us? She can sleep in the bed next to me," "I'm going to take Kristin to go get ice cream!"

Carlos and Cameron went to a BBQ yesterday for a little bit and Carlos asked him if he wanted to stay longer and he told me that Cameron said, "Kristin might be lonely so we should go back home and spend time with her."

Sweet Huh?

I'm really enjoying spending time with Carlos and Cameron and I'm glad that his son actually likes me. Carlos is really happy about this situation and I can tell that he cares about me even more now.

So we all played Mario Kart and I of course won!! But....Cameron did really well. He beat me twice! I'm really impressed with him cause he uses the wheel and he challenges me. He knows a lot of the short cuts in the game and he has agreed to show me some of them the next time we play. He is a really sweet boy and I'm glad that he likes me. Carlos told me that he only met one other girl friend and he didn't like her!!

I'm a really happy girl right now! This is going to be a great month!

My Favorite Video Games

I've always been into video games! Ever since the original Nintendo came out! I was really young when Nintendo came out and I didn't play much at first because I thought that if I died in the game I would die in real life. Really stupid when I think back on that but hey...I was young.
I thought it would be fun to share what my favorite game to play was on each game system I have ever owned.

Nintendo: Bubble Bobble

I mostly played the Mario Brothers games and Duck Hunt but this was my favorite. My parents never bought us this game but we rented it every chance we got. My older brother, Danny, and I would play this game together. I think we beat it a couple of times. I have fond memories of playing this with my brother.

Nintendo 64: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

This is my favorite game ever! This game seemed long and very complicated to me. I would watch Danny play this game. I would even stay up past mid-night (which was late when I was a child) watching him play. I learned from his mistakes how to defeat the bosses and the tricks to get through the temples. I eventually got the courage to try my own game of it. I was wonderful. All that watching paid off. When I would beat the game I would start a new one right away. I was so good at this game that I didn't even need to use the cheats. My own memory was cheats enough. I knew how to unlock just about everything! This game was the bomb and the best Zelda EVER MADE!!!!

Play Station 2: Soul Calibur II

I played this game for the first time on Game Cube and fell in love with it. First time I ever played I chose Talim and was undefeatable. No one wanted to play me. I loved this game so much that Grant bought it for me on Play Station. I would play this game all day on my days off. I was really sad that they changed the characters moves on Soul Calibur 3 and 4. I was no longer able to play Talim which was devastating to me. I will always remember how good I was with her on the second game though.

XBOX: Jade Empire

This game rocks! I only played this game about 3 times but I loved it. I think everyone should try this game if they own a XBOX. You can decide whether you want to be good or bad and depending on that you learn fighting styles and magic. Throughout the game you meet people and can have conversations with them. The story changes depending on which characters you talk to the most. So the ending is almost always different. I'm a romantic so I always had my character talk to the hot guy. They ended up kissing at the end of the game and getting married. Pretty awesome if you ask me. I would love to play this game again someday. I loved it so much!

Nintendo Wii: Mario Kart

I have always been gifted in Mario Kart. I was amazing at the the 64 and Double Dash one but I'm the Queen at this one. I play so good with this game that I amaze myself. I almost always win and my friends are always impressed. My boyfriends son is visiting for a month and we are playing this game tonight. Supposedly he is really good but I think that I can take him. I'm excited to play with him and see just how good he is. I will tell everyone how that goes!
I love many more games such as Rock Band, Mario Party, Champions of Norrath and many more but these are my picks for each of the consoles that I have OWNED!!

If I were Fictional

If I were to be a fictional character I would look like this!
I saw this picture while looking for other things and I fell in love with it.
I think she is beautiful and I would love to look like this!
As a young girl I used to imagine that I was a princess and that I was the most beautiful woman in the whole wide world!
This picture shows exactly what I thought myself to look like as the most beautiful woman ever!
What would you look like if you were fictional?

Wuzzles

Did you ever watch this show? Whenever I talk to people my age about shows we watched when we were little kids I always mention this one. No one has ever heard of it. I was beginning to think that I made it up but then I googled it and turns out it really did exist. If you never watched the Wuzzles then you really missed out!
This show was awesome!
Each character was made up of two different animals. I can't remember all of them but I remember:
Bumblelion
Butterbear and
Eleroo
(I don't know if I spelled their names right)
I would love to watch this show again!
