Twilight

I am a fan of the Twilight books but I thought the movie was way too cheesy. I thought that I would like it better the second time I watched it but boy was I wrong. I thought it was even more cheesy the second time around. The movie came out on DVD on Saturday and I forced myself to buy it! Why did I buy it when I didn't even like it? I don't really know why. I just figured that I needed it because I like the books so much. I came home Saturday night and my room mate was so excited to watch it with me. She didn't like the movie either. Then one of my other room mates wanted to watch it with us. She expressed that she hated the movie just as much as we did. Women are funny that way I guess. Why did all of us want to watch the movie when we all hated it? Why did I even buy the thing? Both of my room mates boy friends were confused that we wanted to watch the lame movie. What makes it even more weird is that I want to watch the movie again and again. It's weird. I would watch it again except that one of my room mates (not sure which one) borrowed it (without asking me) and I can't seem to locate it. I hope it shows up eventually!

DWTS Update

Meet Ty and Chelsie

On the first week of competition Ty didn't do so well. In fact I thought he was horrible. Then last week he amazed me with his Quick Step. It was like watching a completely different person. As I was watching him do his Fox Trot tonight I was thinking that he is the most improved dancer on the show. I wasn't the only one that thought that either. 2 of the 3 judges thought he was the most improved as well. I've grown fond of him. He seems like a really nice guy and you can tell that he is trying really hard to improve so he can win this thing. I hope he does well.

Even though I'm proud of Ty...Shawn and Mark are still my favorite couple. Shawn is doing really well. I think that athletes have the advantage in this competition. We are currently in the 8th season of Dancing With The Stars and I have been loyal to the show since Season 3. Out of the 5 seasons that I have watched 3 of them have had an athlete win. There is something about being in shape and being competitive that helps them win. Despite the fact that Shawn is dancing well...she has her work cut out for her. She tied for 1st place with

two other people:

Gillis and Cheryl & Melissa and Tony

All of them did well tonight. Gillis and Melissa are both growing on me. However I will remain faithful to Shawn and Mark!!!

Steve just flat out sucks!! All the old people do. I don't know why they even compete cause they never win.

Holly is just plain ridiculous!! She looks awful. Steve can blame his old age and stiff limbs for his suckiness but Holly has no excuse for hers. If I had to pick which one I would want to watch again next week I would pick Steve. Holly is just that bad.

Pepsi

Growing up my parents never let us drink any soda that had caffeine in it. So I grew up drinking Sprite, 7 Up, Root Beer, Creme Soda and other such drinks that were caffeine free. I just always thought that this was a Mormon thing. I assumed that other Mormon families had the same rules and didn't drink soda with caffeine in it either. When I moved to Utah I soon realized that it was just my family that had that rule. Well....not just my family but not all Mormons keep away from soda with caffeine. I made friends with a guy when I first moved here that was addicted to Dr. Pepper and he forced me to take a sip of his. I soon became addicted myself. Dr. Pepper is the bomb and I love it!!

Where am I going with this?

Last night I had Pepsi for the first time ever. I think I may become addicted to Pepsi too. I still think Dr. Pepper is better but I really enjoyed the taste of that Pepsi. I've been craving it ever since it touched my lips. I was really strong today and I didn't get one on my lunch today even though I was really tempted.

Bills Bills Go Away....

Bills bills go away...come again some other day...blah blah blah.....

Do you ever feel that all you do is pay bills?

Well I do!! I feel like I have to pay a bill everyday. Just when I get paid I have a bill go through. I just can't seem to get to a point where I can actually save my money for other things that I may possibly want.

Being an adult is really starting to get annoying!! Why can't things in life be free? So many bills........all the time..........Ahhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Don't worry about me. I have money to survive and I have more money than I thought I would when I became single again but there are things that I want and things that I worry about.

Worries

1. My car is making funny noises and I worry that it is going to die on me. What if something is horribly wrong with it and it costs too much money to fix? Money that I don't have.
2. The economy isn't doing that great and people are losing their jobs. What if I lose my job? I don't think that I will but I still worry about it all the time.
3. Back to the job issue: I work in the Women's Shoes department at Macy's making some commission on top of my hourly rate. That small portion of commission really adds up and helps my paycheck on a weekly basis. I was told 2 days ago that I might be taken out of shoes because our sales are down and they only want the best sales associates getting commission. What am I going to do if I lose that commission? I need that extra money.
4. I need a raise! I got a raise last year around this time. I've been looking forward to my raise and we might not be getting them this year because of the economy.
5. I got hit by a car in a parking lot back in February and the guy who hit me offered to pay for the repairs. What if it takes more than one day to fix the dent? I need my car. I have never been without one. I wouldn't know how to survive without my precious car. I could ask the guy to pay for a car rental but what if he doesn't? I don't think that I could afford a car rental at this time.

Wants

1. I really want a laptop. I was looking at some online earlier today and found that I could get one as cheap as $400. Sure I could dish out a couple of hundred bucks and get one today but would that be wise? Probably not!! I would get the computer and then my car would die. This requires patience and saving my money. I also don't want to settle for the cheapest thing out there so most likely I will want to spend more than $400 anyway.
2. I really want to pay off my Macy's credit card and cancel the dang thing. I could do that too you know but again that wouldn't be wise. I need my money for emergencies.
3. Grant took most of the CDs I listened to when we got divorced. I'm tired of listening to same 3 CDs I have and I'm really sick of listening to the radio. CDs don't cost that much money but if I bought one I would want to buy another and that adds up. I'm trying to be frugal here.
4. I want a new wardrobe real bad. New clothes and new shoes. I also want to get my nails done and completely pamper myself. I definitely can't do this or I will go overboard with the spending.

So basically I would love for my bills to stop existing so I can put my money towards my worries and wants. I'm reminded of a song that they play in the The Wedding Singer...."I want Money! It's what I want! It's what I want! I want Money!!"

A New Holiday

So yesterday was St. Patrick's Day!! A stupid holiday if you ask me....especially for those of us that don't drink. I can see how it is a fun holiday for drinkers...! Everyone knows that you are supposed to wear green or you will get pinched right? Well....my job let us wear green and denim yesterday (which is awesome since our dress code is 90% black) and so we all did. No one pinched me and I didn't pinch anyone!! Most of our customers were wearing green which was pretty cool. This is what bothers me though....

What the heck. The holiday only lasts one day as far as I know. Everyone and his dog was wearing green today at Macy's!! I texted a friend who just so happens to work at a gym and he told me that everyone was working out in green at the gym too! Gees people!! Green is not that popular of a color. I only own one green shirt and it isn't even that cute. My co-worker and I decided that anyone who wears green the day after St. Patrick's Day deserves to get pinched! So next year I'm going to pinch anyone that decides to be stupid enough to wear green the day after the holiday!!

Lame, Lame, Lame

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm loyal to Dancing With The Stars! Anyone who watched the last season of the Bachelor knows that Melissa Rycroft got dumped on TV after being proposed to on the show.

Melissa was a last minute replacement on Dancing With The Stars and she did really well on her waltz last week. But her Salsa tonight didn't do it for me. I decided last week that I wanted Olympic Gold medalist Shawn Johnson to win Season 8's Mirror Ball Trophy! Shawn also did the Salsa tonight and I thought it was Outstanding!!! The judges gave her 8's giving her a good score but they gave Melissa 9's for her crappy Salsa!!

This really gets under my skin because I think the whole world feels sorry for Melissa for the whole bachelor dumping crap. I also feel that the judges have pity on her for her situation and that is why they gave her a better score. Poor Shawn was told that her Salsa wasn't raunchy enough!! Give me a break!! She is 17 years old and she has probably been training to be in the Olympics since she was like probably freakin 3 years old.....not having much of a social life...therefore leaving her possibly a virgin lips!! How is a girl like that supposed to be raunchy? I thought her Salsa was great!! If I had been a 4th judge I'd have given her a "Perfect 10!"

They were the leaders last week and they are the leaders again this week. Now I don't claim to be a professional ball room dancer......BUT......I was a dancer for 12 years and I know what looks good and what doesn't......

This looks good.....but just because Gillis plays the hot, sexy neighbor in the Sex and the City movie doesn't mean he should get the good scores. He's good but not on top of the Leader Board good! That spot belongs so Shawn and Mark!!
